The summer flowers are struggling to hang on and the colours of fall are quietly taking over the landscape. We started the evening in a field of Queen Anne’s lace but made out way her neighbour who was full of Goldenrod. -The vibrant colours so suited these two beauties.
The air was heavy with the promise of rain. The water gently lapped against the shore. The perfume of wild flowers mingled with the saltiness of the sea. Gone was the business of the day and just for a moment time stood still. Some moments are so beautiful they hurt.
This week one of my chicks will leave the nest for the first time. Her leaving will create a gaping hole in my brood. But while I am sad for me, I am so happy for her. And can’t wait to hear about the new adventures and stories she will have to tell. The new places […]
