Kortney and Blair were married on the last weekend of summer.  The sun shone brightly and the air, although warm, carried with it the slightest hint of the changing season.

From morning to evening this day was filled.  Filled to the brim with ever so much beauty, fun, love and laughter; but it was so much more than that.  I am at a loss for words (which seldom happens) to describe this day.  Everything I write seems to fall flat and does not give this day the justice it deserves.

Beauty was all around…  The lodge at Upper Oxbow Outdoor Adventures, where Kortney got ready is set on the bank of the beautiful Little Southwest Miramichi River and is one the prettiest places I have ever seen (I may be a bit biased – I grew up there.).  From the lovely ladies (This bride was stunning!) to the pretty dresses and stunning flowers,, everything was gorgeous.  But it was more than that.

Love was everywhere.  This couple is in love.  There was no hiding it; they are incredibly and deliriously happy-in-love.  They each have wonderful sense of humour and were one of the most easy going couples I have ever had the pleasure of photographing.  Their friends are families adore them.  From the smiles, laughter and tears and hours and hours of work that was put into this day come about, (by family and friends); love was evident and over flowing.  (Fun Fact – Kortney’s dad (and his helpers) spent countless hours transforming the local rink into a venue for not just the wedding ceremony, but for the reception and dance as well.)

Laughter.  It was contagious.  When a bride and groom were having as much fun as these two were, it was impossible not follow suite.  Laughter greeted me when I arrived that morning and laughter followed me as I packed my bag at the end of the day.

From morning to night, this day was filled; and this is the story of their wedding day.
