Newport

With all 3 of us living in different provinces and another country, it is a rare occurance for us to spend a day together.

Today we stole her from her new husband and drove to Newport for the afternoon.

We visited Newport, and toured Marble House  before taking a walk around the grounds.  They say this house was modeled in part after Versailles and it is far more like a museum than a summer home, which was it’s original purpose.

A Wedding in Providence

What a wonderful day!  The sun shone brightly.  The bride was radiant.  The groom had a permenant smile on his face and love was all around.

A private ceremony at the beautiful historic Providence City Hall was followed by an intimate at-home reception with family and friends.

It was perfect!

We spent the morning in Boston, and did a bit of exploring the the old Italian section of the city.  We had lunch at the delicious Regina Pizzeria.

Summertime

Stupidly, I had a image in my mind of the pictures I wanted to get tonight.  How could you blame Miss A. and puppy for not being overly excited about getting their pictures taken when there was a beautiful Lake to play in, just around the hill?

We didn’t have to tell them twice to go play.

Strangely though, our “water dog” does not like the water!   She is more than happy to stand at the edge and watch.

Camp White Birch

Labour Day weekend at the camp.

Brian removed a hornet’s nest from the eve, and Abbie spent the better part of the morning disecting it.  We went for a walk and found a trail we hadn’t explored before and Abbie and Stella played in a brook.

We went fishing and watched a moose cross the river.  Abbie made pictures to add to collection on the wall that Sarah and Olivia made when they were her age.

The stars were the brightest I have ever seen last night.
