Sometimes life just knocks the feet out from under you.

You are such a fun-loving carefree child that I find it hard to imagine you as a serious grown-up.
But every now and then for just a split second I get a “look”, and I see a whole other person.
A serious, thoughtful and all knowing look that is far too old for the little body it is in.
Then as quickly as it appears, -it is gone.
To where, I have no idea, but I hope it is quite content there.
Because I don’t care to see it again for a long, long time.
