Playing in the Leaves

How much fun it is to play with Daddy and your puppy in the leaves? (The dog didn’t mind it either; in fact, I don’t think I’ve ever saw one more excited. She ran circles so quickly around Abbie that she is only a blur on the picture.)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Isn’t it so much easier to be thankful when things are going wonderfully?  With the incredible weather we had over this past Thanksgiving weekend reaching nearly thirty degrees, there seemed to be sun shiny happiness everywhere!

On Saturday some of our friends joined us at Ski Wentworth’s Fall Festival of Colours event. How fun it was to ride the chair lift in your tee-shirt and have a picnic on the side of a mountain!  The mountainside was full of families;  big families, little families, young families, not so young families and (I’m not making this up) everyone had a permanent smile on their face!

As I look over the pictures I took of our mini adventure, I can’t help feel so very thankful for our families, (both near and far), our wonderful friends and the magnificent place we get to call home. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Daffodil Planting

All month I had waited for a day when we could get to the lot to plant some daffodil bulbs.  I had a beautiful picture in my mind of how nice it would look in the spring, with bunches of yellow daffodils growing under the trees.

The day was unusually warm, so we headed up, with garden trowels, (silly Brian even brought a shovel) and flower bulbs in hand.

Two hours later, covered in dirt, very hot and tired, I realized that even with a full sized shovel, it is nearly impossible to dig a hole amongst the roots of a mature tree…. the bulbs that we did manage to get planted, I don’t think are deep enough to withstand the weather and animals.

Time will tell!

I did manage though, (suprise….!) to get a few pictures of my girl.

Leah at 6 Months – Positively Perfect

Mom: Come look at this picture I took of Leah today.  It’s really nice.

Ray:  Ghee mom (very sarcastically), you would have to be pretty bad to screw that up; she is like the cutest baby EVER……

She was right…. little Leah is “positively perfect”! (And, her mom’s not bad either….!)
