The Uniacke Estate

My teenagers begrudgingly agreed to come with Abbie and I to see another museum on our (my) list.

Once agan, it was my first time at this museum and was in for another suprise.  Down a wooded driveway,  hidden from view,  a beautiful 18th century estate. (The website really doesn’t do these museums justice!)

The house and grounds were picture perfect and we had a super nice lady give us a detailed tour of the house.

Afterwards we took a walk on one of the beautiful walking trails and I talked the kids into letting me take a few pictures…)

When we lived in New Brunswick, this beautiful beach was one of our favorite places to go.  Weather providing, we try to spend a day at the park  when we are home during our summer vacation.

As a bonus, the past few years, our visits have co-insided with my brother-in-law Paul and his family’s visit as well.  We so enjoy getting to spend time with our sweet little niece and nephew from Montreal whom we just don’t get to see often enough!

The River

While visiting last week, we took Abbie for a walk to the river where I spent so many childhood days.

Nanny and Grampy’s Pride and Joy

You would be hard pressed to find grandparents as proud of their grandkids as these ones.  As one set lives in Quebec, and the other in Nova Scotia, it is a special time when they meet in the middle at Nanny and Grampy’s house during summer vacation!
